I have a 4 year old who recently was given a speech diagnosis. I noticed after some research that to recieve the UA scholorship you have to register the child as either being in private school or homeschool. Since my child is a very young 4 year old (only had a birthday a few weeks ago) I wasn't anticipating or desiring for him to be formally schooled yet. If I go the homescool route and register with my school district will I be under the same requirements for end of the year evaluation even though he's far from being 6 years old for the compulsory attendance part?

Ok! That is super helpful and I appreciate so much you looking into that for me. I'll mark my calendar to remember to do it the year he will be 5 yrs old before Sept 1. Thank you again!
Hi, Holly. Brenda said that you would need to register as a homeschooler with the county for UA even though he's only 4, since the funds for FES-UA come out of the district funding pot.
