We're glad you're here!
I am a veteran homeschool mom of five daughters in Columbia County.
I’ve graduated four and am currently homeschooling my youngest.
I’ve been an evaluator for 30 years. I enjoy helping parents succeed with homeschooling.
I am The Homeschool Coach and host live Q and A sessions for homeschoolers.
I recently created a course to help parents start homeschooling and to encourage them through the years and to continue through high school. It includes modules, forms, state guidelines, curriculum reviews, Q and A sessions and even the option for on-going coaching.
You can join my email list for more information.
Happy Homeschooling!

Hi! I am Katie Lane and a veteran homeschooling parent, as well as a Veteran's wife. We are a family of 6. This is our 10th year homeschooling in Clay County. My special interest areas include faith based living, special needs and classical home education.
Our oldest graduated in 2022 (we participated in the HERI Jax graduation) and received an academic scholarship by testing with the CLT (Classical Learning Test). Our next 2 receive the FES-UA scholarship and our youngest just switched over to PEP.
Prior to homeschooling we journeyed through DODEA (military overseas schooling) in Okinawa, Japan. Upon returning stateside, public school and a short jaunt in private school. We are now exploring and designing homeschool special needs high school transition to adulthood.
Hello, I'm Kim Godfrey from Pinellas County. I'm a veteran homeschool mama of two fantastic kids in their teens who has benefited greatly from FLHEF over the years. Early in my homeschool journey, I heard Brenda speak in detail about her personal homeschool story and it impacted me greatly. I'm passionate to share her story and support her tireless efforts to further our homeschool freedoms and benefits in Florida.
Throughout the years, I've been an active leader in our local homeschool support groups/co-ops and events. I've been mentor to and receiver of much needed guidance from other homeschooling moms and experienced first-hand the importance of creating community for ourselves and for our kids. We need each other!
Our oldest flew the coop to college recently and I realized this is my time to pour into the next generation of homeschooling moms but, of course, I didn't want to do it alone. God knew years ago that the friendship and teaching collaborations with one of my dear friends, @Jenny Barr, would culminate in the creation of a homeschool business to do just that, support homeschooling mamas. We are continually amazed at how He prepared us in advance for this new project together.
We harnessed our experience as former teachers coupled with our collaborative efforts as homeschool moms and volunteer leaders in community education programs like our church's children's ministry, 4H and our local homeschool support group's planning team to create The Homeschool Well online community. We prayerfully work to provide homeschool moms with community support, one-on-one mentorship and resources, like FLHEF, which make homeschooling easier and actually enjoyable.
