Now that many of us have received funding and can make reimbursement requests, I'm curious if there's any information out there on the process? We've purchased a lot of homeschool items since July 1 without knowing how the reimbursement process works, so I have a few questions.
With three children, we purchased all their curriculum at once with one order. Do I submit the entire purchase under one child, or try to split the items and submit the same receipt as a separate reimbursement for each child, for their relevant items?
For larger items that children will share, do I pick the child who has the most money left or try and split it equally across all three, with three separate reimbursement requests?
Is there clarification on swim lessons and martial arts lessons? Are these eligible PE/Sports lessons?
Is the cost of shipping reimburseable?
One last question, for now.... Let's say we made a shopping trip to Walmart, and there's several items not eligible on the receipt, but we want reimbursement for select items, is that ok?
We later made sure to make seperate transactions so there are only eligible items on a receipt.
Thank you!
Has anyone received a successful reimbursement yet? It's been about two weeks since we've submitted a couple, and I wanted to wait until those were approved before I submit more.
Hi, Madeline! I don't have specifics on some of these... they would be Step Up questions. However, there is some general info on the Reimbursement process in the Parent Handbook that answer some of your questions (like the Walmart receipt with not all items eligible, for example). I do know that you need to submit reimbursements PER CHILD even if all the purchases were on one receipt. (You'd need to select which student you're submitting the reimbursement for, then upload the same receipt for each student, but specifying only the relevant items for that student in your request. You could even make copies of the receipt/duplicate images of it on your computer and visibly highlight the items for that student on each copy to make it easier for them to process.)
All the questions I have!
